Finding Devotion in the Garden

I say Tomato you say Tamato

1 Corinthians 15:38  38 You could never guess what a tomato would look like by looking at a tomato seed. What we plant in the soil and what grows out of it don’t look anything alike. The dead body that we bury in the ground and the resurrection body that comes from it will be dramatically different.

If you are a gardener then I’d be willing to bet you are up to your ears in tomatoes right about now.  I’m canning tomatoes, putting them in stews, in salads and even stuffing one or two.  There’s the adding of garlic and onion and a handful of basil to add to the mix.  Whatever the recipe those red, juicy wonders fill my heart with joy!

From the cherry tomato that pops it’s lusciousness in your mouth.  I mean really, no salad is complete without them.  To the beefy tomato that covers the top of every great burger in the nation.  And lets not forget the sauces.  The richness of the tomato knows no bounds as it cooks down to be the royal crown of a plate of spaghetti.  Now I ask you, is there anything sweeter?  Whether you say tomato or tamato makes no difference to me.  All I will say is..Yes! More please!
